I am happy to announce that my mixed media book, "Of Things Outward or Inward" was accepted in the Hatch Art HATCHBACK 17 show in Hamtramck.
This piece was an exploration of a mark making technique called “frottage” or graphite rubbings on a metal skeleton stencil. The images created were enhanced by found phrases to explore the physical and spiritual realm humans inhabit. The relationship of the marks and words hopefully will elicit an emotional response which is just another aspect of the human experience of life.
