And I am "over the moon" because I have two new pieces in the Starkweather Arts Center's new exhibit, "Over the Moon". The exhibition runs from 7/14 - 8/25.
The first piece is an artist book titled "La Luna". Found poetry is illustrated with mixed media imagery to capture the magical qualities I love about the moon. I've always found moonlight to be so calming. Like a warm hug:) And when clouds are added to the mix, the moon's beauty transfixes.
***UPDATE*** "La Luna" was awarded 1st Place! So surprised, excited and thankful to Juror Laura Cotton and to Starkweather for hosting this wonderful exhibit:)

My second piece is "Tidal Phase". Mixed media image transfer and charcoal drawing on found paper creates an image of the tie between the moon and the tides on earth.
